Cath handling the Lowchen "Britta" November 2003

I began drawing as most children do, but I found most of my subjects to be my 2 passions - Dogs and Horses.

Unlike most children however, I used Art to understand conformation and type - drawing outlines and endeavouring to find out WHY an animal looked, stood or moved in a particular fashion. To this day I use those visual clues I learnt when evaluating coated dogs.

When High School started, I was given my first real experiences with computers on a daily basis. Having just a few basic DOS commands (taught to me by my sister) under my belt, I found myself to be quite the wiz! Combining my love for computers, art and animals - leads to this website.

I currently breed Lowchen, show my own Afghans and occasionally handle Standard Poodles for a friend. My first love will forever be the Afghan Hounds that I cut my teeth on, but Lowchen are my passion!
I do not consider myself to be a great handler, I prefer for the dog to be remembered - not me! I do enjoy training, moulding and working the dogs and making ShowTime fun.

I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor of IT, and have studied Illustration at TAFE College.

I am an avid collector of Vinyl Records (Coloured and/or Picture Discs are a fav), and a small scale music nut. My favourite bands include Transvision Vamp, B'ehl, Bis, Huggy Bear and the Mavis's.

I hope you enjoy my website! And you can always drop me a line.

Tidalik - Tid a lik

Cath handling the Lowchen "Britta" November 2003

What the hell is Tidalik?? Tiddalik is a Childrens book, based on an Aboriginal Dreamtime story about a gluttonous frog!
Tidalik is also a cutsy name I gave my Lowchen, Acid. I decided Tidalik should be my name too, in honour of my little girl.

Acid no longer features in the design of this site, but the idea of childhood stories does. The imagery I use for this site is based on my mother's German Workbook Mein Fibel.
